I hope I'm asking this in the right place... Has anyone tried out the Megan Upper Front Strut bar SpeedCorps is selling?
Today I finished my sturtbar. I made it like the one from Mega. I took two 3mm thick plates and a 1" pipe and welded them together. First impression, great! The speed in corners much higher and the car feels very stiff. The look is not the best, prototype, that is why I didn´t made a picture of it. For the next version I´ll take a 4mm plate to get it more stiffer!
even though you made your own that still shows there is room for added handling/responsiveness then not having a strut bar at all. I went a week without my upper strut bar from RRM, put it back on and felt a difference. props on the self-fabrication
Aye I second that ^^ very innovative mpirkbauer. Unfortunately I'm not so good with making custom parts. That's good to hear about the strut helping. I wish I could get the RRM one but I'm on a tight budget for now and this seems like a decently priced strut. I took a look at the ebay struts and well when combining shipping to the bid they cost about the same or some even more that SpeedCorps. Also I'm always extra cautious about ebay items especially when I don't know much about the product. I'm still debating the bar I was hoping someone had picked it up and tested it out.
