that was strike one. the CEL was strike two. the slow to fix the problem issue is strike 3. they are out! and not giving me anything for the trouble of bringing in my car was a big foul ball. i asked for an intake for a buddy car that the definately made. "no way" ken says. i say a couple t-shirts? "Oh ya, i could do that but it would take a few hours" ?!?!?!?!!?!?! was the look i gave him. "i gotta go to the wharehouse" (which i thought we were standing in btw)and then get it approved by my boss and fill out this paper for it" blah blah blah i take my keys and bone out with a CEL that did go away in like 2 minutes. whateverz

well wheres the announcement? ive sent emails checking up for myself and to let everybody know whats up. so JC, whats up. you got the AEM installed right now with no CEL? that would be very uplifting for some people out there who prefer AEM over other companies, and those select few who have ordered the product with delay. let us know whuts up. unless you already have and i totally missed it!  :D

I am as well, I was their guinea pig since the Lancer came out. After MOD 07, no contact with me or them on the cai/sri and I gave up on them.

When I got my intake I asked my local motorsports shop about which one I should get and they said Injen. Their reason is because they're higher quality than AEM and that Injen is polished aluminum while AEM is like a plastic-like material. I ended up getting the Injen one and honestly, it is pretty awesome.

The less bends and sectional volume changes in the tubing, the better. Things should be as smooth as possible, while being as short as possible. The trick is finding the trade-off. When does making a tube longer cause it to perform worse than introducing a flat spot for a retarded logo?

If only one actually gave any kind of sizeable increase over the other.. then debating the differences between the two would be worth more than a single shit.

why is the aem only available for manual and not cvt? it seems to be in the same position etc.

i'm not sure the logo is the only reason for that, that is where it goes over the battery i believe so i think it has to be like that.

no from what nj08gts told me, the cvt cooler is in the way. only injen supplies the bracket to fit.

Has anyone here got the sri from rrm. I was down there talking to them today and he said that I should get theirs.... now i know what your thinking because i think any one with a little intelligence would be thinking the same thing. He is going to say get his over someone else's. But after him telling me a few things about the car that is not going to make him any money at all...in other words he was just telling me as a heads up and not to screw me for money (no homo) ^_^ i really thought about it, and maybe the sri from rrm is the best one to get even if its not cai. because i really believe that he if thought going cai would be better the sri then they would have made that one instead of the other.

I guess this is more towards maybe someone who has used both a sri and a cai...and can speak on or tell the difference if any between the two. Thx guys.
