I took off the silencer and drove to the liquor store i will say it sounded nice but i didnt really notice the pick up that much. Mind you i have the CVT that may make a difference, but Homie it sounds awesome.

    poor tsx

I just feel bad for the guy in the TSX, must not know how to drive that car for shit :p

Cool idea with the intake, mesh would def help airflow, they just put plastic over everything to try and hide everything so they dont have to cough out ridiculous money on the warranties. I woldnt be suprised if this new warranty they hold makes or breaks this company. If this car is the possible lemon some thing it might be, theyre doomed. If it holds up for 5 years they will be okay. Mindyou the amount of $$$ they make on their "required" maintenances is probably ridiculous enough to help foot there flaw bills. I just hope all the extra warranties and such i bought for paint and leather and stuff doesnt turn out to be a scam. Im taking it in today to have them look at the paint chips on the front as well as the scratches in the door panels and stuff their dumbass leather and tint installers caused on my car. If they decide not to fix them they are going to have a shitstorm and one less evo sold :p

    PLASTIC-LATCH COVER/AIR-TUNEL MOD??!!??!

HOMIE, i took off the plastic air tunel and i also took off the plastic latch cover to force more air into the engine bay instead of those small slits for the air tunel..I also added mesh from a screen door which coverd the hole in the airbox....my question is while driving in heavy rain fall will all these mods affect my engine by sucking water moisture and possibly flooding my engine ..jus want second oppinion.

put it back on that vent is giving you more cold air unless you live in really cold tempatures it might actually give you less power since warm air from the engine is being sucked in

yea im from toronto and its pretty cold down here, so im not too worried about the warm air from the exhaust manifold and plus besides taking off the plastic cover where the latch is gives alot of force(cold)air while driving. im more concerned about the possibilty of water being sucked in during a really rainy day, will that affect my motor in the long run or is it something i shouldn't rreally worry about since the airbox is soo far back in the engine bay...

water shouldnt be getting down by the engine hahaha

but that is a posability if its raining extremely bad

1saiah i know the summers get hot as hell there lol. But im a firm believer that any way to get more cooler ait into your engine bay is the smart thing to do. remove the filter cover replace the part of the filter box connected to the silencer. This will bring cooler air into and closer to your filter if you have a SAI. It will also act like a little difuser with the rain hitting the back of the filter box and not directly hitting your filter. I right now would love to some how use the filter box and somehow enclose the SAI in it. That would pipe in direct colder air and act like a heat shield, thats my 2 cents. Does it make any sense anyone tell me if this sounds retarded please.

Thanks for the second oppinion 5TH, and BTW for anyone thinking of purchasing a SRI from RRM you should really reconsider. i'd say these mods mentiond above work just as well, if not probably even better, considering i didn't pay a single penny. but for the mean time, What i will buy from Road RACE is the lightweight Pulley and Piggyback ECU, styll debating wether to get the GRIP springs...
