The Ralliart is supposed to have a detuned version of the Evo's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. How exactly do you detune a turbo?

lower the amount of boost. But there are probably more differences than that, The Evos engine is probably better built to handle more power and the Evo comes with a twin scroll turbo, dont know if the Ralliart gets that treatment.

Main diff. is that the X has a twin scroll turbo while the RA is only a single scroll... fins maybe different two and maybe the composite's of the turbo material too...

many different ways, whether electronic like the ECU tuning, or mechanical such as cams,(which i have read are different) turbo, exhaust. (as stated above) there are any number of differences. I would do some research to compare the two engine variants.

I didnt think that the RA came with twin scroll turbo but I didnt want to straight up state it since I wasnt 100% sure lol. Now I am since I have no reason to doubt Prophet.

Ok, thanks. I mainly wanted to know generally speaking as I was talking to a friend. He was arguing there wasn't any way to actually detune a turbo because it's completely mechanical. The ECU was the only thing I knew of that can be tuned.
