I've been thinking of buying one for my 09 GTS (cvt), but want a second opinion...i mean with the intake and exhaust done, the rrm pulley and headers. i think i would be pretty sweet.

I dont personally think its any good, probably just a box with built in resistors to modify you MAF sensor outputs. Not exactly any good and you will not get nowhere near that kind of gain if you get any at all. Notice that chip covers all year model Lancers and doesnt even specify submodels like the RA, that is a lot of engines for the same chip to cover. If we could get that kinda hp and tq gains for that price I would have one on both my cars lol. If you want a chip go with the rrm piggy back, or the works flash, you get what you pay for.

no doubt...so which one actually is better, the piggy back or works flash? I'm kinda iffy about RRM products, I think that they are over priced....but watever. tell me what you think....

Why do you recommend the works over the rrm piggy?

cause they flash it, no need to cut wires which can be a mess and very dangerous, cheaper if you get the eco flash (which is what i would get) and i have had the rrm piggy back and i just sold it so put it that way :)

Hmm becuase he had it and other reasons I think from what I seen in another thread lol, but I rather have the option of tuning it over having to resend in for a reflash after different major mods. You can buy the software to manualy tune the RRM piggy later for a tune that better matches your car and location.

that is what I thought to be true. that it would be better to tune it yourself vs having to send it in everytime you change something. or if you take it in to service that car and they reflash it for you or say your f'ck ed because you mod your ecu and voided your warranty. i dunno just my opinion

^ lol, dont think it even costs that much for a resistor, only difference would be the little black box .
