Fosgate 9 speakers?

yea ive wondered the same thing, i dunno where they could b hiding lol

 

do you have the navi or the 6 disc

 

the other 2 speakers are behind the head rests in the back seat

 

where would they be if u have the navi? same place?

 

mitsu tricks ya on this they consider certain speaker assemblies as a multi speaker unit such as the two in the rear door panel. the way mitsu counts it is:

2x tweeters in sail panels up front
2x6.5 inch mid drivers in lower front door
2x6.5 inch mid drivers in lower rear door
2xweeters mounted on rear mid drivers(in lower rear door)
1x 10inch subwoofer in trunk

voila 9 speakers

damn i was thinking they mite count a 2 way as 2 seperate speakers......those bums, their lucky it sounds so good or ide be pissed

 

would it be cheaper to get teh speakers installed at the dealer or better going after market?

 

Go aftermarket. You can get way better quality and clearer sound speakers.

The rockford fosgay crap is horrible. The sound quality is some of the poorest I have heard. This coming from someone that has been in the business for over 15 years.

Seriously, its why I didn't buy it. I just bought a manual with the 6 speakers and had the dealership install the sunroof. They can keep those speakers. Rockford is not known to win any sound quality competitions. Their subs can hit pretty decent but bass isn't everything in a great sounding system. Great sounding mids and crystal clear highs is what makes or breaks a system. And RF, failed in that department. Their sound engineers are 1D when they need to be 3D (low/mid/high).

i had a fosgate in my eclipse and now in my lancer and i have no complains, one of the best systems you can get factory installed. I don't belive you need a system to enjoy music, i hate when i see those ricer kids coming down the block bumpin that stupid music and all you hear is the rattle of their car rattaling to peices!

 

apparently u havent heard a bose system or a bost acoustics system from dodge
or even the infinity system in my dads ram is louder

 

why would you want any louder?

i have heard the bose systems in the nissans and i prefer my fosgate, also heard some of those harmon karmon systems and still don't like it compared to the fosgate
