The problem doesnt involve RRM. Whether you have the version 1 or the stock pulley, eventually your car may start to have a leak because it is wearing away that the seal. RRM version 2 pulley is beefed up on the inside where it slips of the shaft. This pulley compensates for mitsu's error. The Version 2 should not cause any problems
However no noticeable gains whatsoever in any performance increase. Save your money and buy something else.
There is a throttle response difference but its a good thing to have to avoid that wearing in the seal. It may be recalled eventually but who knows
hi i´m from Austria and have the lancer with the 1.8 L engine. Today i measured the stock pulley to find out if the one of the 2.0 L engine fits. the diameter of the pulley es 148 mm, the bolt which fix it, is one with a 22mm head and a 40 mm washer. are this the same dimensions as of the RRM pulley V2 ?? thx for your help.
Better to contact RRM with these dimensions. I sent them an email about a pulley for the 2.0L to question if it would fit my 2.4L and got a response in a day. Better safe than sorry.
thats good to know. cuz i bought the rrm pulley v2 and was worried that it might cause problems.. whew! lol
About time lol. I have been wanting to get the pulley but i was waiting for the v2. Im just glad they worked the kinks out so no more problems.
