so you want awd and a turbo, sounds like a goal but 8k isnt gunna cut it. rrm turbo is 5g + tuning/install unless you install your self. yah 10g MINIMUM for both if you can find som really good deals, and have a friend with a shop.(feel free to correct prices)

Trade the car in and get a Ralliart or Evo. It will cost less in the long-run.

For whatever reason you want to awd the lancer, it will cost you. If you have the cash and the down time from your lancer. All means go for it. Check your local area mechanics and ask what they suggest. Not sure where you live but a lot of the major cities can point you in the right direction.

your probably gonna spend 23k+ or so for your car with the turbo and AWD

at that price you should of just gotten a lower gen. Evo

The way I see it, let the guy do what he wants to his car. Sure it isn't very cost effective, but if he wants an AWD Turbocharged Lancer, go for it.

RRM and other companies wouldn't be making turbo kits for Lancers if they knew everybody would just say "Don't buy a turbo, just get the RA/Evo."

Insurance companies will jack up your rates if you drive a turbocharged vehicle, but they don't have to know about aftermarket mods (unless you crash and they want the vehicle for inspection, then your done for). This may be one of the reasons why some people do aftermarket modding.

You want a turbo? Go for it.
You want an AWD conversion? Go for it.

    :D

if you want to do it on the cheap, find a crashed AWD caliber and swap everything from it even the 2.4 engine and the tranny (+ computer)

Don't spend 8K on the DE... Wait 2 months, Trade-in, get a Ralliart if you can't go for a GSR (which u can get round the 30k's seeing as some dealers aren't selling as many lately, thanks to gas/economy ordeal)...

I stalled the whole hook-up process on my 08' Lancer aswell, passed it over to my wife, I'm driving my Kia Rio (LOL) and waiting till September, then I'll get a hold on one sweet ass Orange-Ralliart and welcome the mods back!
