Yeah I'm pretty annoyed with all the paintchips on my front end and the back of my sideskirts. I gotta get some place to buff them over.

Damn that sucks about your rim though. Those are the hardest things to fix on this car too!

ya i hear ya, i hate gettin them on a new car, every one hurts deep. I'm gonna get some of those CF side spats for the rear of the skirt that KRU is making up, so we'll see how that looks.

I'm not too worried about the rim tho. Over the winter i'm gonna get them powder coated black so that should mask it up pretty good

    Thats cool man.

Now have you tried photoshopping different rim colors? I tried black powercoat, gunmetal, and it didnt really look good against the blue. Looked very dull, not enough contrast.

So I've come to realize that gold or bronze rims will look best on our car!

With his carbon fiber hood, I think gunmetal will look great. I think gold would present too much of a contrast with the carbon fiber look he is going for. All he needs after side skirt cf is the mirror caps KRU is making and a CF trunk :D . Of course all of this is assuming he is going for a blue/cf look

    Hey man, welcome

Thanks for the contribution, i'm trying not to overload on CF. It's really tough to do because i like it alot but i know that too much CF looks tacky and ugly IMO.

I have been lookin and the mirror covers pretty intimately, but i know i will not be getting the trunk for sure

Yeah I get what you're saying Drifter. But where I got the idea for the gold rims is from the Suby STi's - The standard combo is the Rally Blue + Gold rims and it works so good. Doesnt have to be flashy gold, just a light bronze even. It'll look so sick!

ya it sounds pretty good, you got any photoshops of it? I'd really like to see it in the bronze/gold. I love the subaru blue and gold, i just dunno if i wanna go that route... copyin off a subaru

Well i found some OZ rims on Tirerack which I thought looked really good on our car. You can see the View on Vehicle tool to get an idea of how they might look.

But yeah I just love these things. And can you imagine the looks our cars would get, rolling around on those? :) *Drool*

Yeah except they're so pricey. $350 per rim. Total with shipping and duty to my doorstep is $1700. Then you factor in some extra dough for getting them mounted and balanced and you're looking at close to $2000. Way too much just for some wheels :(

i agree those wheels would look good on electric blue, rally red, wicked white , and tarmac black. it wouldn't look so good on the apex silver, graphite grey, aqua green, desert beige. i know i did't have to put the exact color of the cars, but had nothing better to do. :D

choking chicken, your ride is coming along nicely.

In our particular province in Canada, it is not needed.

Damn those are nice i really want to see pics once you hook it up. Electric blue with those wheels would be unique and seriously hott.

I wish i didnt need a front plate but Maryland is so strict it sucks the Lancer just isnt built to have one its looks horrid.

Yeah there were some discussions of introducing front plates again in our area, but fortunately after some polling against this decision, they decided to leave out the front plates :) Thank God!
