So I just read on another forum that a member dropped their car off at AEM for a cold air intake development. The member should get his car by Friday and I'm sure word will filter from there. If I'm not mistaken, the member on the other forum is also a member here. Hopefully he'll post up on more details about the CAI.

Just thought to throw this out there for you guys still waiting on performance parts...

do guys think that AEM will do the colors that they've done in the past. the blue, red, polish, maybe black. i would get a blue depending on cost. has AEM told you when it will be for sale.

i was going to take my car to aem too :-/ but I didn't want to leave it there for that long even if they rented me a car but I heard it's a very unique good looking cai. So hopefully they make a sick intake

I would expect the price to be right there with Injen. Will probably show the same results with a "fluffed" dyno sheet.

AEM BLAH BLAH BLAH, they arent making it for CVT, meaning they wont sell very many or make very many for you manual guys......im dissapointed in AEM...i was the test car til they determined it wont fit CVT. isnt that what R&D is for????LAME if you ask me. i didnt even get anything for my trouble......boo AEM

what kind of things were you expecting? They can't give you parts because they failed at that part. lol

they gave you a rental so i suppose cash isn't an option. They seemed to have you taken care of. Minus the CVT CAI part.

    Still sucks though....

That's interesting... Injen's CAI works for both CVT and manual transmissions.

    ...

And the only difference is a L-shaped mounting bracket.

just picked up my car from AEM Yesterday for the second time.. i guess the part that goes over the battery didnt work out.. and they modified it. so it should be coming out soon. they will give me a call ASAP once they get the 3prototypes their going to build.

as far what they told me it has better gains that the Injen. who knows.. ill post up picks once i get it.

PS: GTS_ROB is correct they WILL NOT MAKE IT FOR CVT owners...

and the only reason i belive the Injen one fits the CVT is because of that ruber like pipe they have goin down to the bottom its kinda bendable . and AEM might be using all aluminum pipes.. =/
