no because the drop isnt extreme enough for a camber kit

Ok so a simple 4-wheel alignment would be plenty after installing them? Also would I need to get it aligned again in the near future to compensate for the settling of the new springs?

i would wait for a day or two that way the springs have time to settle, but wouldn't drive very far because if the alignment is off your going to wear your tires. i think i read somewhere that it take about 6-10 mile for them to settle, but don't quote me.

i don't think it goes so much by miles as it does for days... takes about a week (from my experience) for it to fully settle :p

Ok so I guess about a week after installing them should be plenty of settling time.

Nope I was waiting because the site I found said the springs wouldn't be in stock until June 15th.

I ordered them today from the site ZEROCOOL found, not bad $195 + $32.50 UPS ground shipping, hopefully I'll see them by the end of the week, just in time to install them over the long Memorial weekend coming up.

yea get the springs installed.. then wait a week for an allignment. in a week the springs should be settled. you wont need a camber kit either. its not an extreme drop.

Well its not looking good, I ordered them yesterday 5/19/08 at 11:30am EST and its now 5/20/08 4:00pm EST and the order is still processing, not looking good even if they are sent out today they won't make it before the weekend, and due to the holiday weekend, forget about it, cya next week for a possible install the following weekend.

Here's an email I just got back from them @ 4:30EST today after emailing the Sales dept.

"We were out of stock on the springs and had to special order from H&R. They should be here tomm/thur for re-shippment. Once we ship out, we will email you a tracking number."

Anyone know of any shops near Middletown, NY that can install springs, I can only find one place Gemini Tire & Auto and they want $99/hr. for labor charges.

I called Meineke too, they want $600+ and they need the car all day to install the springs too. Yeah right George Foreman, more like "you'll pay alot but you won't get alot", the mechanics will take my car for a "spin" after an hours worth of work, so that sums up to all day and me paying for 8 hours of labor.

Aren't the H&R springs related to some strange sounds after the install?

Its getting worse day by day, HP Autoworks should be avoided, sorry ZEROCOOL, I purchased them Monday 5/19/08 and they still haven't shipped, here an update to the ongoing story I got from the Owner of HP Autoworks below:

"I apologize but had made a mistake in part numbers. When we
checked stock w our vendor, they had gave us the wrong part numbers. The
springs are out of stock w us and out of stock @ H&R also. Everyone is
waiting on them to finish up w their manufacturing as they are selling very
fast. They are expecting a shipment to be sent out within the next week or
so. Once they are ready, we will have the first set and ship to you asap.

Once again, I do apologize for the mishap."

I asked the guy for a refund of the shipping cost ($35) or an upgrade to UPS Next Day Air or UPS 3 Day service so when they finally get the springs in and ship them out to me i'll get them a lot faster. Otherwise I told him I want to cancel the order for a full refund if he can't compromise.

i say do it urself, it'd be a lot cheaper... the only thing u'd have to go out and buy would be a... not sure what it's called... spring compressor? or w/e so that ur stock spring won't fly off when u go to replace it lol... and to put on ur new springs... other then that the install isn't that hard to do =)

+1,do it yourself.i did mine and came out fine. rent a spring compressor from Advance or Autozone, whomever has the loan-a-tool.the stock springs are not that compressed, beleive me,just when you do it place the whole assembly on the floor, put your foot on the top plate so it doesnt shoot at you quickly, and use an impact or wrench slowly loosening it.just be ready and watch if anyhting goes an different direction.I didnt use the compressor when uninstalling the stocks, just reinstalling the new springs, makes it ALOT easier if you are by yourself,I was when i did mine.Just take your time.

When you guys say it 'knocks', is it constant or other times? If you can, give me a little detail because I'm interested in this drop b/c I think it is perfect, but the sounds scare me a bit.
