So my one week old GTS paint is already starting to peel off is this a common problem its going back to the dealer tomorrow you think they will re-paint it?
peeling? really? I've had my GTS for about a year now, no problems with the paint yet (keeping my fingers crossed). since it's only a week old, that should be covered by warranty. any pictures of it?
I've heard of some people having paint issues (someone posted pics once). My car (08 GTS) doesn't have any paint problems other than some scratches from a cat jumping up on it.
from what i've heard, paint peeling isn't covered in the warrenty... rust is... idk, it's what i've heard... *edit* though someone said their dealership did repaint one of the parts of their car because it started peeling, however he knew someone that worked there...
ya, i'm deffinetly not sayin to just live w/ it, i'd be at the dealership asap complaining on a defect =)
Mitsu has a rep for the crappy paint. Its too thin and so is the clear coat. If its obvious that its just peeling or chipping then there really shouldnt be any problems getting it fixed. I had mine fixed for free!
where the bumper connects to the car right over the drivers side wheel well... I have a little bit of peeling, but nothing overly ridiculous.
I'm surprised it's only a week old and paint peeling. But Mitsubishi some what does have a rep of using cheap paint. That's why this year, plans are after I get my complete bodykit, I will be repainting the whole car.
repainting ur car devalues your car (if your gonna trade it in) just thought i'd throw that in there =)... though i'm not too sure about if u repaint it the same exact color....
That I didn't know. thanks . But no plans trading it in. As for color, maybe rally red, but I want something a little more darker.
