I just split this thread so you guys can keep your lil fights and everything here in the OFF TOPIC section... when posts like this are in a vendor section, try to show some respect to the vendor please! -ektor nice to see that the turbo is out... but for 4799... i think i'd rather get the Ralliart... turbo + AWD (from what i've read) for the same price *edit* btw, should be about the same power gain too... maybe a little more w/ the ralliart option since it's a 55% power gain over the 4b11 engine... 235 HP AWD Ralliart
when did they ever say that? , i think they've said that it'd be in line w/ the ralliart... but not the evo..
^some of you guys havent been in the lancer community long enough to know that when it comes to the Lancer non-evo...RRM just cant be touched...few have tried to rise to the occasion and have failed miserably... theres a reason why that kits costs so much...and it basically comes down to reliability that you wont get with any other kit...r&D on this kit has been going on for a looong time...planning for it started before the 08 even broke out of the docks...
but doesn't matter, competition always means consumer wins... if i have the best, and everyone knows the best, product out there and i sell it for 10 grand (lets just say) and someone else comes along w/ a cheaper but less reliable product for 4 grand... who do you think is gonna sell more? of course the 4 grand... forcing the 10 grand to drop... yes the 10 grand company has the name, but the 4 grand company has the price... and as much as the name helps... it can only help so much
You have 3 post in the lancer community. Either way I'll probably wait til next summer to get it. I'm not doubting RRM"s skills but i have the CVT and I'll wait til others have reviewed it before I go dropping my money down.
one more thing... if am going to void my warranty.... it has to be with something that is going to be worth .... not by buying the 75 HP chip from Ebay... LOL.... naaahhh... but seriously guys.... we where desperate for something like this.... now that we have it ... we should apreciate it.... otherwise companies would wait 4 or 5 years before making anything for new cars....

true...but ///RRM will never do anything to their pricing..why? becase competition will sell a kit that is half as good and half the price...that hasnt been r&d as much...with 10x more the problems...
also remember that you have to install it.. the kit is only 70% of the job needed to boost.. you need a company to install it if you cant to it yourself (that is NOT going to be cheap) and you NEED to do some tuning... no 2 cars work the same, even with preloaded maps, you always have to do some tuning... and thats even more $ thats like 6 grand right there, plus the price of the GTS (how much, like 21k maybe?) you got around 27k in total.... there are already boosted cars out there that are cheaper than that and can out run a kitted 4b11 all day oh and im almost positive that the cvt kit will be more expensive still BTW.. where are the final Dyno sheets for this kit?
no biggie, just putting the actual numbers out ... and yet again, different conditions yield different results... though those numbers seemed a little too good that is what it goes for after registering + dealership fees.... isn't it?
if you got navi and everything else, then ya i would settle for that price... i just paid a couple thousand less aftert&L and registration and GAP($750) for a 09 WW GTS 5mt...and most people when they say they paid 21..dont include the t&L part...
i believe he was referring to the fact that RRM is selling everything needed instead of buying a turbo here and pipes there. RRM: "The kit includes all the necessary parts to turbo your lancer, fuel management, 16g turbo charger, front mount intercooler, and all the piping. The piping comes powdercoated gloss black and the manifold is ceramic coated so that it wont rust or corrode. This is a complete kit just install and go, not other parts needed." Read posts before you call someone out...
