Does anyone know if an EVO motor will bolt up on my 02 es motor mounts or if my transmission will bolt too the motor? :lol:
Nope...its not a direct bolt up, the 4g63T (EVO, not DSM) or the 4b11T motor mounts are in different locations. Although it can be done with a lot of fabrication.
the answer is no and no.. it wont work w/o lots and lots of time and money.... we have a member on sclc doing a mivec swap on his lancer atm... and few others i seen on evom are doing it same thing, any evo motor wont work.. see above answer the person on sclc is a 2man job doing the swap and i seen the car and he is doing it, been over a year progress is good. he not gonna do a write up at all and when he finishes he just gonna post pics and thats it...
It will end up being to much work. Your best bet is to just turbo the engine you have now. It might not be the same but you will have just as much fun driving it. A engine swap will be the biggest pain in your butt!
