its amazing how you get no creases.
Btw, did you sand it down and make it blend into the rest of the pannels? liek the lower parts.

Now we have Joe from ACI on this board so he can clear this up.... just for the non believers

when you buy a "trim" for something, its just a sticker-like overlay that goes over whatever you baught it for... go to Nemo's thread of the HIN and you will see these overlay... no where near what phil did ;)

btw, it look amazing phil... good job

LOL! BRYN1987 a critic with little knowledge of what your scrutinizing. I kind a wish I was a mod still so I could delete your reply with some other product that doesn't have anything to do with what I posted.

No offense so don't start with a bunch of crap.

Ektor said it pretty much right.

ACI's product is a piece of C/F that is cut to to the size of your interior part and then scaled down a cpl of sizes to keep from hanging over ur part. Then a layer of rubberized epoxy is applied and then all the technical stuff in there.
Then a dbl side tape applied. Packaged and shipped and then u STICK it on.

KRU's: my parts are wrapped in real C/F similar to the way you would reupohlster the panels. Then all the technical and now ready for a good clear coat.
I could have made a mold and then layed c/f in the mold back it in fiberglass and recreate all the tabs and brackets, but why? The cost would be rediculous. To put into production wont happen cuz again and no offense but only 1 out of 15 people could actually afford them. The way I did it is a bit cheaper but still, if I were to offer this to every1, I doubt people are gonna wanna spend $250-$350 for these 4 little pieces. Its a lot of labor and materials are quite costly these days.
Thats why ACI makes a stick on kit.

So ask questions about what I post at any time, but dont be a critic when its obvious you have no idea what you are talking about. Cuz I will be forced to put you on blast.

actually i hadn't checked back to this thread till now... u live and learn... nobody in here can say they know everything... or that everything they know is right... i personally thought it was kinda fked up that KRU attacked me like that... i never not once implied that what he was doing was pointless... i simply said, if u want something that looks the same, there already is something out... in fact i give the guy mad props for being able to work w/ CF like that... but ne way, some people are just more of a d*ck then others i guess...

yeah, from what i've read and heard. I may not do this till after the summer. I'm doing intersession and both summer terms. I'll probably do a bunch of stuff in the 3 weeks I'll have off.

The biggest thing is I need my car everyday. I don't really have the time to have my car offline for a few days. We shall see

No worries dude, I am what you would call in instigator  :D Its nothing personal towards you. I was more just trying to boost Lou's ego for 5 minutes.

As for KRU you need to realize that he takes pride in what he does and if someone comes on and starts talking about his work in a bad way you should assume he will be here to defend it. Comparing what he does to that crappy tape on CF isnt a good thing

Ok look, its not "F'd" up 4 me to put you on blast for your ignorance.
Again ACI's is no where in the same ball park as what Im doing.
Also when it comes to my work I play with gloves off.
I tell ya what, I'M SORRY!

Ok so I went over to my painter and since this is the first set Im giving him, he wants $350 for his part alone. HMMMM!
Now of course this is with the added red candy so there is a lil bit more for materials. When they are done he said we will sit down and see where we can save some money. So lets see come Saturday when I get them back.

Well here they are, notice how the red candy over the c/f pops. Im still gonna do some speaker stuff in the pocket area. So there will be more updates.
