    The factory antenna sux, IMO.
Let us know how it works out and how much you bought it for.

the shark fin isn't going to make the factory antenna work any better, so if you are talking reception i don't think that's going to change

Any ideas on improving the strength of the signal then?
On my Camry, there was no antenna. I think it was hidden or something, but I never saw an antenna on the car. But the reception was FANTASTIC, compared to the Lancer's reception which is CRAPPY!!! :D
Still love the car though!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the navi also, but for some reason, the signal is not as strong as it could be.
As I mentioned before, the antenna on my Camry worked like a charm. But the antenna on the Lancer lacks in the strength department.
So there is no way of increasing the strength at this time?

^^ That looks like a good antenna but it's very expensive. I'm not spending $69 on that.

I ordered one of these last week. Will post pics once it comes. Yeah $69 + $15 shipping is a lot, but I think it'll make a nice stylistic mod. Make the Lancer look a little less like an oversized R/C car, LOL! And I'm definitely digging the fact that it'll come pre-painted electric blue, like my car!

I wanted to get one of those...it would look so much better with the vortex gen that I have on the top of my lancer...

Factor in the cost of painting it to match, having it actually functional not just a cover, and overall its not WAY overpriced.
I have one on the way too.

Yeah same here, I am ordering mine today. It looks pretty cool and will definitely be better than the extremely large antenna. Can't wait, it will be my first mod to my car haha woot woot.

Less wind resistance from that huge factory antenna, also the fact the the new antenna acts as an airplane wing, so it adds the power of a jet plane!

the only downside to it is the manufacturer says it will not fit over the existing Siruis antenna.. so that sucks for a lot of us
