if you have lowering springs how are the springs supposed to sit? if you look at them (with wheel on) how do they line up?? are they supposed to line up totally straight? or do they line up off to the side kinda pointing inward? just slightly inward. i was washing my car today and started looking at the springs to see how they look and noticed that, they ride great and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, i was just wondering.
that my friend is call camber and yes i have the same thing on my ride and it usually happens when you drop your car
yeah boyee...with my coilovers for 3 months, I already need new tires but I did not get an alignment so I will see if this works out.
it does...I am thinking of the WORKs or eibach set up but undecided. Hopefully the alignment will help my problem.
when you drop your car the tires tilt inward toward the interior of your car... my advice to everyone that plans on getting springs is get the springs installed, wait about a week for the springs to settle because it will be lower if you let it sit about a week.. then get an allignment.. if needed buy a camber kit.. if you have a good mechanic there shouldnt be an axcess tire wear... theres a way to bypass that stuff... hope this helps BigSteve
having too much toe in or out is worse than even the most extream camber. I remember my last car after i had it lowered and put on new shocks it ended up being out by 10mm at the front and back which would have been shredding them badly. You really need an alignment after any sort of suspension work.
Yep.. as BigSteve said. I've had my springs (WORKS) just a little over a week, and getting my final alignment done on Monday. Meanwhile... I've tried not to take it too crazy around corners My tires stick like s$%t on a stick... so I can't help it sometimes. I also must recommend rotating your tires every 5000km... cbf workin it out in miles.
maybey a certain group of people should finally accept the metric system .. lol ... then we wouldnt need to do conversions.
