Engine won't start

    ok what the french toast? ive had my lancer for only liek half a year now.. and this happens at least twice a month..
    i twist my ignition, it wont start... i have to wait till its my 3rd time for my car to turn on..

    any1 have similar problems??

    if u mean u cant turn the key, all u gotta do is move the steering wheel a litlle bit and then it will start.

    this has been covered tons of times...
    call your dealer, there is a tsb for it....or if you don't want to do that then simply push the gas pedal down slightly when starting. Its due to moisture buildup on 3 sensors

    do you have lojack...it does it to me before and it was cause by the lojack after i brought it back and have them fix it then it stop doin it...

    i mean the "engine won't turn on".. but thx ill go dealer and check it out

    does the remote work when you try to unlock the doors...if not then you got a dead battery

    Happened to me to, dealership tried a reflash of the ECU 1st, that worked for a little while, then went back to not starting at random times day/night cold/warm didn't matter. So the dealer replaced the entire throttle body and now no more problems at all, hopefully it stays that way. Yes there is a TSB, just ask your dealer.

    Never push the gas pedal when or before starting. NO ES BUENO! :wink:
