I was told last night that clinton 2 was trying to get a bill passed that would make it illegal to perform any modification to a car. anyone else heard that?

dude think about how many personally run businesses run on car modification and performance. Three of my friends business will be down the shi**r. I really dont think this is true but it is crazy enough to be possible.

So I just searched all over the internet, trying to find something about this.. I couldn't really find anything. The only thing I found was stuff about the grand theft auto game. If any one can find anything, let us know!

The same way they made a seatbelt law.

seatbelts have to do with personal safety, modifications don't, they are two separate things altogether. Adding an Intake will not affect your life if you get into a head-on accident

With the possiblity of a resession looming, the chances of them killing an industry is small. SEMA has some big bucks behind it (including the auto manufacturers). Kill off the aftermarket, and the auto industry will suffer big time. Then it will cascade over to the oil industry and so forth.

I think that we are safe for now.

But a large portion of people who add an intake to their car are dumbasses who drive around on public roads like morons.

Think about all the people on car forums who install an intake and then go film 10 videos of them driving with it? They hold a camera in their hand while they do burn outs and drive 100 miles an hour through residential neighborhoods. That is how installing an intake can hurt someone.

They really dont care about the driver of the modded car, its the people on the street or in the other car that they might kill.

So what you are saying is that adding better sway bars, strut bars, truss bars, tie bars, better/larger brakes, better springs/shocks, roll cages, seats, and harnesses don't count as modifications????

    They are all safety related.

It is like how Clinton 1 promised "no gays in the military" just to get votes. Then when he was in office, "My bad, lets just make dont tell" IMO

I'd rather have a gay thats willing to fight for his country than some female that joins the military knowing she will never go to the front lines for the "education benefits".

I thought Clintons thing was that gays would be allowed...?

"No gays in the military" is a Republican kinda thing to say. Clinton was Democrat.
