I just said stop complaining its not a manual because it is. I never said stop complaining about not having a clutch. I even acknowledged the fact that there is no clutch and proceeded to list a few reasons that I liked that it had no clutch. And lastly, I concluded with "just my opinion," so this is a forum and if your gonna get pissed at peoples opinions then you probably don't belong here. And... on another note. I thought of another reason that i like the tc-sst. and thats that i plan on being in relationships and maybe even married while I still have this car. Most chicks don't know how to drive manual, and nor would i want them grinding my gears. So at least you get an auto option.
mitsubishi already said that the rallyart will only come in the sst transmission during the detroit auto show.
this may be me talking out of place but my girlfriend and one of her friends could launch a 5 speed a thousand times better then most guys ive ever met. maybe your just compensating lol learn to drive then teach your woman
Go here.... http://www.tuninglinx.com/html/mitsubis ... eos-1.html and watch the "Mitsubishi Evo X SST vs 5MT (manual transmission) & electronic settings ,Part 1, 2 and 3 " its for the evo, but youll get the drfit... and the SST looks pretty dam good.
Haha what if its one of those girls who is too afraid of driving in general? They have their hands on 2 and 10 and their foot hovering over the brake....I doubt they'll want to learn stick. They first need to learn the fun of driving.
There are girls that WANT to learn and those who'd rather have you drive their car and hate driving period.
lets stay on topic guys, I am saving up already 400amonth till january of 09 when i recieve my next tax season check and buy the ralliart
Off Topic I was at my dealership yesterday getting a new window put in my car and sales manager told me to come back next week to see him and he would give me a ride in the Evo X. I guess they are waiting for it to get in any day now.
Although I would love to have the RA with the turbo and AWD... I'll be keeping my 08. I just cant see taking such a huge hit on the trade in when I only bought the car 4 months ago. Plus, I gotta be real with myself, Im not going to be racing this thing... Also I have twins on the way, so I wont be speeding with them in the car anyways. Its super fun to have the power when you want it.. but the 08 Lancer is peppy enough for a daily driver. Besides, I drive roughfly 24,000 - 25,000 miles a year... In four to five years it will be time for a new car anyways, seeing how I usually trade up when I get around 100,000 on the odometer. But, Good luck with all the people that are trading up... looks like an awesome car ! Just make sure you put on that game face when you go to talk numbers at the dealership!!
I just talked with South Coast Mitsubishi last night. Ill be going in this weekend and putting a deposit down to be the first person on the waiting list
Hey subawho, did you make that deposite? and how much did they ask you to put down? Dealerships here keep telling me to wait till mid feb after the chicago auto show and then they'll know more.
Actually I am looking into an Evo IX at the moment. Ive found a few dealerships in So Cal that have some left...either with like 200 miles on them, or like 7000. If I can grab one of those for like 24,000 Ill have an Evo IX in a couple weeks
