ok so ya know how the interior dash lights in the ES are that orange color? i wanna get seat covers and new floor mats, shift knob etc...what do you think the best color scheme would be? orange doesn't go with much...i just don't want it to look tacky. any ideas?

what color is you interior? go with that...as for seat covers, you may want to rethink that. The airbag is in the seat and maybe a problem if it is deployed.

hmm...ur absolutely right about that...ok so no new seat covers. But my interior is black with some silver accents...i still wanna get the shifter knob and a few other things tho, so what do u think color wise? i was trying to add some color to the interior....its just that damn orange is a real problem lol

Haha, yea. Seat covers are a problem unless you get ones that are made for side seat airbags. Not sure how they work tho, but i think they are quite pricey. But im going blue with the interior in my car. I just like the silver/blue on the outside and the black/blue on the inside.

I hooked up with a company that helped me with my previous project and got them involved in the Lancer market. The company is RTM Racing and they make some of if not the best shift knobs. Period. I will never buy a shift knob from anyone else.

Anyways, they offer several different options. Just go to the website and call Ziggy (yes thats his real name) or email him. This is a solid stainless steel direct screw on shift knob. And when I say solid, I mean solid. It weighted in at 1.5 lbs (heavier than stock). So it has a good weighted feel and throw. It also sits lower than the stock shifter.

If you noticed they have etched/embrosed it with the Mitsu logo. Or he can custom something for you. He can do logos, names, symbols ect.

The best thing, is that its ONLY $48 + $10 s/h. So for $58 its to your door. Cheaper than the other one out there currently and looks way better. And he does take Paypal.

So contact Ziggy at RTM Racing.

Funny Phil, real funny. No, I figured it gave it that sporty yet stock not ricey feel. I didn't want it to look like those Pep Boys/Wal Mart knobs.

In fact everyone that sees it thinks it come stock on the GTSs.

Currently for the 2008 Lancers, is the shift knobs. I plan on sending him the specs for radiator brackets and a valve cover plate. Just look at the other cars that he offers stuff for. If its there he can usually make it. It might be pricey at first until more interest gets involved.

I think that a personalized weighted shift knob shipped for under $60 is a hell of a deal.
