I just got my new Lancer two weeks ago. I really want to add remote start to it, but I don't know where to look. Anyone out here have remote start on their Lancer? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Carlos

Well, having that small RFID (or whatever) chip in the key won't affect the engine starting since it won't have the key? Just wondering, because I know that there are a lot of options for remote start. -Carlos
it seems like it might not work, i thought they were supposed to have Engine Immobilizers, so if your keys were not in range wouldn't it make the engine stop? or is that only if you try to drive it?
ohh. you have fast key.. well i have a GTS without the navigation package, so i dont have fast key. just a normal key. sorry for the misunderstanding :lol:
jRox where did you get yours and how much. I have also a GTS w/o nav. and will like to installed a remote start also.
i just went to my dealer and asked if they could install a remote starter. didnt take too long and it was like $50. i forget the exact amount tho.
Something like this would make me very happy, though I suspect it would be easier with the GTS and tech package than my ES. My car lives outside, and I can tell you from experience with my previous car that that it's great to be able to get the heater going 5 to 10 minutes before you get in the car. Same goes for the AC.
