WHat do all of these stand for/definition?

    alright i really dont want to keep looking up these words because im lazy as hell so can anybody tell me what all of these terms stand for and what they do. Please post. heres my list:

    ECU
    DRL
    HID
    AFS
    SRI
    CAI
    SEMA
    RRM

    afs - ?
    sri - short ram intake
    cai - cold air intake
    sema - specialty equipment market association
    rrm - road race motorsports

    isnt HID High Intensity Diode as in similar to LED Light Emitting Diode considering they are more or less the same thing except the HID has a huge amount of power going through it.

    afs could also stand for active front steering in some cars...

    also...

    HID is High Intensity Discharge - a form of lighting that works on the same principles as fluorescent lighting in homes/offices etc.

    SMIC = Side Mount Inter-Cooler
    MAF/MAS = Mass Air Flow/Mass Airflow Sensor (same thing)
    DIS = Distributorless Ignition System
    CAS = Cam Angle Sensor
    CAS/CS = Crank Angle Sensor/Crank Sensor
    IAT = Intake Air Tempurature (sensor) inside the MAS
    BS = Barometric Sensor (inside the MAS
    BS = Balance Shafts (on 4G63/4 model engines)
    CW = Crank Walk (excessive/out of spec. side-to-side crank shaft movement)
    inj = Fuel Injectors
    EGT = Exhaust Gas Tempurature
    DP = Down Pipe (exhaust)
    WG = Wastegate (turbo exhaust)
    cat = Catalytic Converter (exhaust)
    A/F = Air/Fuel Ratio
    AF = Air Flow/Air Filter
    CC = Combustion Chamber
    CC = Cubic Centimeters ?
    CI = Cubic Inches
    CR = Compression Ratio
    PSI = Pounds/Square Inch
    OHC : overhead cam
    SOHC : single overhead cam
    DOHC : double overhead cam
    8V : eight valve [ 2 per cylinder, one exhaust, one intake.}
    12v : twelve valve [ usually two intake, one exhaust.]
    16v : sixteen valve [ two each of exhaust and intake. These terms pertain to Rage four cylinder engines from 1st gen on up.]
    HYD. : hydraulic tappets or lifters
    SLD. : solid or flat tappet lifters
    RLR. : roller tappets

    I-4 : inline four cylinder engine [ also can be seen as i-4.]
    H4 : horizontily opposed four cylinder engine [ also can be flat 4 or box engine configuration. Subies and old air cooled VW 's have these.]
    V-6 : V shape cylinder configuration engine.[ We all know this one, don't we?]

    AT : automatic transmission
    MT : manual transmission
    FWD : front wheel drive
    RWD : rear wheel drive
    AWD : all wheel drive [ also known as 4wd.]
    LSD : limited slip differential [ also known as non-slip or posi-traction and a mind altering drug from the '60's.]

    WOT : wide open throttle
    BHP : brake horsepower
    WHP : wheel horsepower
    SUHC:Single Under Head Cam (in the center of the block) ...usually found in the likes of 6 cyl. Holden engines and the old mitsi engines...
    EFI :electronic fuel injection
    MFI :multipoint fuel injection
    TBI :throttle body injection
    ITB :individual throttlebodies
    VIN :vehicle identification number
    Int :interior
    Ext :exterior
    SRS :supplimental restraint system
    HU :head unit

    DSM :Diamond Star Motors
    FMIC = front mount intercooler
    TMIC = top mount intercooler
    TB = throttle Body
    IACV = Idle air control Valve
    TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
    S-AFC = Super Air Fuel Controller
    CatBack = Exhaust starting from the cat to the exhaust
    EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation.
