"ha ha its all good man, we just get so busy ha ha, um turbo kit is in the works, we are building 2 cars for sema so we are a bit backed up, but we have been looking into turbo, we will try to start within the next few weeks and have somthing in a month or so. no hp numbers as of yet, we have some ideas but it is to soon to share. as far as the cvt piggy goes, we have a customer who wants to be our tester so we just need to scheulde an appointment and we will see how that goes."
hahah im the customer tester for the cvt piggy lol. yeah they are making a turbo well in the process and they will be making a turbo for cvt guys
good to know that! thanx, so when are you going in for the piggy, and let us enjoy the fruits of the their labor
any news for Turbo CVT's? if they don't come out with one, I'm trading in my car and picking up the MT version and focing myself to learn it. I know how to drive MT, but still need a lot more practive, especially on steep hills and stuff
CVT ECU and TURBO I love the CVT but damn, reading up on it and reading posts, Im kinda pisses now the CVT tran everyone seems or know that it will only be able to put out a little over 200 HP. Again damn 200 and thats not even at the wheel. Does anyone know if they will be building a more robust CVT Trans, or will they just produce a metal belt replacement like the Audi i think. I know these may seem like stupid questions but again im knew to the tuner world and the CVT system. Oh and damn again has anyone found replacing the headlight a pain in the ass lol. I cut myself like 4 times on the frame.
i talked to brian at rrm and he said that the turbo kit will work on cvt as well as manual, WOOT 250hp here we come, cant wait to see the RRM kit.
I emailed RRM today about the turbo and here's the response i got: > From: Joe > Email: dorttyknowhebad@yahoo.com > > ------------------------------------------------------ > > I was wondering if you had any updates on the turbo you were working on > for > the 2008 Lancer. Just a few questions....any idea on the horsepower gain? > pricing? and a release date? please write back. Thanks. Joe > figure 80+ h.p. to the wheels, Cost similar to our Ralliart kit. Hoping to have a few kits out there in a month or 2. We are working on it as we speak. RRM
$4300 wouldnt be bad if it came with everything and a good turbo and injectors(room to up the boost later when some pistons come out)
I agree 4300 would be all right. But i will wait until i see actual specs on the final product. I do hope to see 80 whp increase would be able to give stock Si's a good run. But in the end we all want the HP and torque asap. So lets not start bashin for cursin when the final results are not what we want. Remember tune the girl like Bras says. just thowin a turbo in isnt the best thing to do all the time lol. I cant believe i just said that but hey we all know its true. I just really want to see what the kit will look like and how big the turbo will be able to go once all the neww parts are on the market.
does anyone know if there kit is going to have the pipping going over the top like the evo or if its going to go under like the HKS kit ? but i think i am going to just wait for the HKS kit. RRM is good, but i love HKS!
lmao. let me put your mind at ease dude. 80+ hp to our car would SMOKE a Si. not even close. our torque from the turbo alone would gradually take the non F/I si pretty handily.
so does neone know if we'll need to upgrade internally.or is this kit gonna be an 6-10psi kit where we just bolt on and such and wont need to go into the motor?
