    Well,

I went back and looked in the owners manual, and it does say that other keys on your keyring, even the metal keyring itself can interfer with the chip inside of the key... so basicallt it says to have the key by itself. The manual states that One of the symptoms that may result is the car refusing to start or even make any noise when trying to start. I dont have the manual in front of me, but its towrds the front...go look and it says it right there, so appearently there is a known issue that they had to write it up.

yeah i dont even have the keyring on mine lol, it looks good without anything on it.. anyway i will try the other key, but i worry since it has been sitting on my desk next to a pile of change.. the only thing i can think of is that i dropped my key once but thats about it... dont mean to be a prick but do you know what page you read that on? Thanks

    Hi,

Just ran downstairs and got the manual out of the car...

Pages 3-5 to 3-6 , look under the Note section on page 3-5, it explains it there and uses the diagram on page 3-6 for the "types A thru B".

The manual actually has alot of info in it... I dint read it untill yesturday, lol.

im still wondering why this keeps happening to me if the problem is the key. This morning i tried to turn on the car and it wouldn't start, took 3 tries. The only thing i can think of is that lately, my key has been sitting next to my iphone on my desk, i wonder if the iphone screwed something up.

Well it happens to me sometimes and I don't even have a key with the fast key system just the tab that is on the ignition. So there is no interference with other keys. I read on another forum about somebody getting a ECU flash to cure the problem but not exactly sure but deffinetly not a key thing for me.

I had the same problem 7 times in april - june 07, but i went to my dealer for the door's recall and asked him about that other problem. Since that day i feel different, they change something because it starts faster and easy. I have the normal key and I never put any other keys around (others go in my other pocket jejejeje)
