Hi I´m from Austria and have an new Lancer. The different to the US. version is, that the 4b10 has only 1.8 liter cylinder capacity, instate of the 4b11 with 2.0 liters. What i want to know, do the engine parts of the US. engine fit on the European one, because i can´t find any tuning parts in Europe. Thank you for your help.
id like to know if the 1.8 head would fit the 2.0L block ? the goal would b to enence compression and achieve a lil bit more power!
yes, it will fit and change ur compression from 10.5:1 stock to 10:1. same bore. just less stroke with that motor
so you think the pulley will fit? put the rrm header, because the exhaust volume of the engine is different. what i need is power from die low and in the middle to drive with less rpm.
i dunno, if the pulley is different, but i bet it fits. my guess is it all fits, or can be made to fit VERY easily. but will prolly bolt up.
i dont know about austria, but our auto part stores stateside stock k&n drop in filters. if you can get one of those, you will feel an immediate notice while waiting for ur parts to ship! that filter fits ur car all the way to EVO
my model is called invite. it´s a 1.8 L MIVEC engine with 105kW/143 Hp and a torque of 178 Nm. i think it´s considered to the ES because we only have one engine to choose.
Hi there, i am also in the same boat as you are. I am from malaysia and our national car maker(Proton) rebadged the lancer(Inspira) in 2 trims, the 2.0cvt and the 1.8mt. Obviously the drivers choice is the 1.8mt. I bought tht in hopes of converting it to a 2.0 and have been researching. what i found out was all you need was the piston, rod, crankshaft and the ecu. Thats a start.
