    Type in Chesapeake Select VA then choose then select dates...blah blah blah choose chesapeake conference center. This is in the greenbriar area which I would pass to get to VA Beach.

    jogenmaru, check out the harbor park in norfolk. it has a good size of parking lot. something you might want to consider.

    Ok. That's 2 places I'm checking out on Saturday. The other place was a kmart parking lot on Holland road. Was told the kmart shut down so its just an open lot.

    well, make sure if you need to get a permit for it or something. i think its private property right now. my car crew was thinking about hosting a car meet there for this coming spring/summer but dont quite know yet about the whole permission thing.

    if you need some ideas on locations, let me know. i might be able to help you out.

    As of today the count on PL is

    June 17-19: 4
    July 15-17: 9
    July 22-24: 3

    Iv asked Josh to send a mass email to all PL members about voting. Im going to leave the poll open on the site till the end of the week and close it.

    I'm pretty sure there is no need for the poll anymore as the date has already been set to July 15-17 on this site based on the number of votes from all the boards so far.

    I checked out VA Beach earlier for some meeting spots. Here is a video of 1/2 parking lots. The second half is private property.

    Everywhere else I saw was a private lot so I would have to contact the owner but there was never a number or sign left around so I assume its city owned.

    Also, there is always Lynnhaven mall we could meet up at or Greenbriar mall, since I know a few ppl will be staying there cuz it is much cheaper. Especially if you reserve your room now in the off season.

    Not bad we met at Lynnhaven Mall 2 years ago in the Parking a lot furthest from the mall we had no complaints since apparantly that space is never used.

    btw i posted RSVP for the meet on PL

    dont know if youve checked out the harbor park yet, but heres a little view of the parking lot. i just dont know how busy or packed the area is around the time of the meet due to a possible baseball game. im just not sure.

    or what about the sportsplex at princess anne? i just couldnt tell how big the parking lot is because it was dark out. but my guess is its sufficient enough for the meet

    Yea Im not too familiar with the va beach area. I went to the few places I knew about and drove around there. I would have gone v-dub if most of the vw drivers I have met werent complete jerks. Maybe we can meet up in a month or so and drive around a few places. I say a month because my car isnt ready for driving right now. Too much stuff to break and fix. Nice vid btw

    Im going to contact a couple hotels in the area too and see if we can get a discount if I say we are going to be bringing them some business.

    That would be great if we could get a discount. It was like $300 a night for like a holiday inn or something when I checked.

    Yea holiday is expensive. Try red roof inn in the greenbriar chesapeake, va area. It will be cheaper there since its not on the beach. Its about 20 mins away. I have to pass that area to get to va beach.
