I know I'm probably going to get flamed on this one, but here it goes. I decided to buy an intake for the wife's car, to compliment her exhaust that I put on last year. I was able to get this intake for $208 shipped. I had done some research and saw that the Fujita was cheaper, but I remember hearing the stories of the CEL with that intake. The intake came in a nice Weapon R box, and everything was nicely packaged. The install was very easy, and the best part is that I have not gotten a CEL on the wife's car. I drove it around for a good 30 minutes (knocking on wood). So if you guys are interested in another intake for your car, I'd recommend you get the Weapon R.

    Now for some pics...

I apologize for the pics as I was using my cell phone. Thanks and enjoy!

the cel wouldn't normally come on that early. If you are driving hard (flooring it everywhere) then it would come on in 30 mins. But for the most part, It will take almost 150+ miles to make it come on.

Glad someone is trying different options besides the "go to" brands. I put a WR on my buddy's golf 5 years ago, and he has had nothing but good things to say about it. As for the flaming...we don't do that stuff here on LT. If has been discussed before, we just recommend using the site search before posting. Let us know what happens (if anything) with the CEL....

I was actually looking at them on Ebay... They claim more HP gains than the Injen etc but Im hard pressed to go with an unproven company... I'd have to see some Dyno comparisons with each of them and alot more reviews before I could drop 200+ on it.

all intakes are about the same if you think about it. as long as I'm not getting a CEL, i'm doing great. would I have gone with a better brand? not for $300 for the same whp gains.

LT would appreciate a long term use update from you after about a month of use. There are not many members with the Weapon R intake and im sure lots of members would benefit from the feedback. I myself am skeptical of of the product but you sound happy. Please keep us updated and just watch for any lights to make sure the car is not running to lean.

the car has a nasty growl when you step on it. it's pretty quiet during cruising speeds. 500 miles and no CEL.

Now that's what I'm talking about. The only issue now that I have is can you pass inspection with it. I know a lot of thier products are not yet C.A.R.B. approved and are pending according to their website. Oh! Also, is that the one with the inner tube? I was looking into getting that for my gf as she really needs the lower end hp/tq. Her cars low end power is garbage. Even worse than our lancer's low power. 3.6k rpms till any real power is a hassle sometimes like when the a/c is on.
