I bought it for my evo but ended up replacing it with a more reliable name brand

Does anyone know how loud these are compared to say the Injen or the RRM SRI's?

all intakes are pretty much the same. the thing is to get the MAF sensor going in place so that it doesn't throw codes a la Fujita.

I bought the HPS intake in blue, and I love it.
the growl is so much more satisfying than the stock airbox sound.

i hate to be a cheap-o but is there anywhere you can find a sri for less than 200 bucks. that just sounds pricey to me. im new to the whole new car thing so im not use to the prices but its a thin aluminum tube with a filter. its not like to can go to wrong with a cheap one... i cant find one though. i would make my own but im not sure how to get the sensor in line where it needs to be. well just figured i'd ask! thanks

haha....the sensor part is easy. Just cut a hole in one of the rubber/cilicone couplers for the sensor to barely fit.....uuummm maybe ebay has some. I'm not too sure. It should be the same as 08-09 lancers not unless you have a gts then its different.

i mean like the older acura and hondas have different ones for different cars/ motors but they are all basically the same. you could interchange most of them... what is different where i cant use the sri for a 2.0?

The hps intake is installed while keeping the stock intake in place?

no. looks like the factory duct is still there, going from the hood to where the air box use to be.

yeah im pretty sure im gonna get it. i dont think there is much if any of a difference between the sri's. but the price is a huge factor is the hps sri.. its like 60+ bucks less than the others.
