  1. Ok guys, first off i wanna install HID lights on my lancer, but that type of lighting is new to me so i'm not sure what all i would have to get. Can someone help me out?

Second, I'm looking for some good lowering springs that would possibly be compatible with my stock cambers, but if its too much to be looking for, i'll go ahead and replace it all.

What year car do you have? From what I understand, the newer Lancers need a day time running light bypass, so they're not on all the time.

  3. its an 09 lancer ES.

Then, if I'm not mistaken, I think you'll need a DRL bypass, which Jrox on here sells. Most of the people that get them from him are pretty pleased with his products from what I understand. As for the actual HID kit, I would recommend DDMTuning.com, but other people would recommend other places. DDM sells their kits for under $100, and they're by far the nicest kit I've owned, and I've had 4 different kits. The ballast is slim, and easy to install. As long as you don't break clips like I did. Lol.

Don't know much about the HID situation, but im running road race grip springs on mine, and they worked out great. Doesn't lower the car as much as other lowering springs, but it gives the car a good stance. I'll be glad to post a pic if you need a more visual guidance.

  6. yes please. and ill check the DDM kit out thanks!

DDM Tuning has the best prices as well as lifetime warranty. I'd purchase my HID kits from them.

All 08+ Lancers have Daytime Running Lights. The DRL signal basically runs at a lower voltage--thus, why the light is dimmer than Low Beams. When HID's are installed, the DRL signal will pass. However, it will not provide enough power to fully operate the HIDs--thus, HID flicker is present. To avoid this, you can simply run your HIDs ON 24/7. However, some people prefer the option of turning off their lights as they please. This is when my DRL Bypass comes in play. You can check out my sig for more info. ;)

I bought the DRL bypass from jRox, it was easy to install and is pretty awesome. I hated having my lights on during the day. As well as not having my navi brightness auto adjust -_-.

  9. well jrox, i just sent u a message on ebay about the bypass.

ok now i have another question, does anyone know how much i would be able to lower my car with 19' rims on it? Or if there is a limit to how much i would be able to?

You can slam it and get hellaflushness probably. Would I recommend doing it on 19s? No. And plus, 19s would not look right on a Lancer at all. Look more into 17s or 18s since it's a newer Lancer.

  11. well i already have the 19's.

With the stock shocks/struts, you can drop 2" without killing them. If you plan on going as low as possible, try an airbag setup....probably your best bet.
