Any of you guys installed eibachs? do eibach springs for 8G lancers improve the comfort as well as handling? I'm looking to change my springs as the standard (UK Sport) Mitsubishi springs are too harsh for the crap UK roads. I'd like to make the suspension more compliant and comfortable but to retain the handling (if thats possible). I'm thinking of replacing with Eibach springs as they did a great job lowering and increasing comfort and handling on a Galant I previously had which had standard Mitsubishi rock hard over sprung and under damped sport suspension. Looking for some feedback and opinions on those with eibachs - thanks!
I don't know of anyone that has them for a Lancer, but we put a set on my buddy's 05 Mustang. The car looks great, handles well, but the ride is crap. You thinking of going with the Sportlines or the Pro-kit?
actually the ride is a bit better than stock, i was in one with the eibachs and was a bit impressed. The drop looks bad ass also...that is what i experienced...
I like the Eibachs conservative drop but still look aggressive. I heard of a bit of wheel hop with them but i think your going to get that with majority of lowering springs. You can also look at Progress lowering springs as well.
did u find the ride more compliant and less harsh at town speeds? looking at the Pro Kit http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/89999/mitsubishi/eibach-pro-kit-springs/e10-60-013-02-22.html we dont have much choice in the UK. I definately dont want to get cheap springs like Pi or Apex as previous experience of these ones are a harsher ride and not much improvement over stock handling, but a better lower stance. The eibachs are progressive wound which is supposed to make them more compliant at lower speeds. They certainly improved my old galant so I am keen to know from other Lancer owners if they produce the same results on the lancer? cheers Recardo
