Yes you are going to need that so called adhesive. It prevents the wing from scratching the paint of your trunk. Im not sure where to get it though.

oh what i did is i bought a rubber shape circle with a hole in the center where then i put the screw on... just bought it on a hardware store and its thick enough that the spoiler have a small gap to the trunk...

You dont want that. If you are driving 60+ and its windy it can cause your trunk to bend over time. You want what was with the oem wing so it can sit flush. Do you have a picture of your wing? I'd like to see before I start going on and on.

Dude I don't even know what the stuff is called. But I'm pretty sure you can go to any hardware store and find it. If not walmart. And you like red a lot don't ya? And you should be able to do it yourself. Just may take some time since you most likely haven't done it before. You can take it to the dealer ship and ask about them doing it for you but I don't know how helpful they will be. You can on the other hand go to a body shop and they can give you a quote on how much it would cost to do it.

Buy some 3M double sided tape. Put it on the bottom of the spoiler, and trim the excess and make holes fr the bolts. then just bolt it up. The stock stuff is used to keep water from seeping in, extra hold force, and to help provide even pressure to the decklid (keep the bolts from pulling through the metal)

thanks... so any double sided tape will do? do i need to look for some water proof or something?

Well, the 3M tape is made of a gray foam. I guess any brand will do, as long as its the foam type..

Um, That 'stuff' is not so that the wing does not scrape the paint on the hood... It's weather proofing. And 3m tape is not the answer either, as you can't create a complete seal with it since the foam core is not weatherproof (the glue is though).

This is so that water does not work it's way through the seam to the bolt holes and leak through, which can then leak into the the trunk cab and rust out the holes and the bolts.

Solution... 3m does make this material, it's called Strip Calk

It's also a good idea to wrap it around the base of the bolts on the spoiler side.
