I think I've decided that I want a CF hood and decklid. Don't know if I want the OEM style hood, or the hood like Rob has....I think its a VIS hood. too bad I don't have the spare change to pick them up.

 

OEM style. Or maybe the Evo style one. And, hey man, that's perfectly fine with me.

 

So, ordered something for the Lancer just now. First time in a long time that it's not just a sticker. Will post pics as soon as I get it and install it/them.

P.S.-it's not Recaros

Lol. So, I forgot I already mentioned what I was getting. Projectors. If I have any questions about them I know I can ask Jogen about them. I'm pretty sure some other people on here have the same ones as well.

 

If you got the depos they arent really that great of a fit. But they work. Also, your headlights wont work with them. They come with standard bulbs already. But i believe they are h3 bulbs. You can use your regular hid kit when you get new hid bulbs not unless you have the hi/lo kit then you just need a regular kit for the standards. The hi and low beams are 2 seperate bulbs unlike our stocks which are the same bulbs.

I got the DEPO ones. I remember you having some slight fitment issues, but nothing too major? I am mainly getting them, so I can pass inspection and get a brake tag. I don't have hi beams currently. The kit I bought from DDM was just the lo beam kit, so I can use the ballast still and possibly the wiring? I don't know how to go about hooking all that up. I might just roll with the halogens though, I don't know yet. I know about the two different bulbs for hi and lo beams as well, I always liked that. I broke a clip on the harness that's on the car that plugs into the headlight, so I can't just swap out my hids for halogens to pass inspection. For hids going into the projector housing, would it just plug from the car into the ballast, then from the ballast into the headlight housing connection? I can't remember exactly what my wiring looks like currently. Anyways, this post is really long for the RTT, so I'm gonna end it. One last question though, for those of you who have the Evo style grill, how do you remove the stock one? I was looking at it and could not figure out how to get it off.

 

Yup..Just buy some H3 bulbs from DDM. I'm about to do the same thing

 

Those are nice, but I think I'll save my money and get them myself.

 

Actually the depo clip just plugs right into the lancer clip. I will post a pic of the wiring in a few mins when i get back home. I had an issue with mine so i will show you what i did exactly.

I see the studs with the nuts on them, I can get those off, but couldn't figure out how the clips work. Also, are you sure the bulbs in those projectors are h3? I'm going to order hids and replace them while the headlights aren't on the car. Seems like it would be much easier.
