Whats going on guys and gals, just now creating a new profile cuz my last one was inaccessible. I currently drive a 2009 GTS with a whole bunch of mods (cept for turbo). I iive in Ft. Worth and would have no issues driving to Dallas, or nearby cities to chill and talk cars. Ever since I came back from Iraq in June, 09 and bought my GTS, I have been slowly upgrading it. I have had many parts since then but am now starting to overhaul it by paiting it and installing a new body kit. I have gone through 3 exhaust systems, lol, looking for the best performance and sound. So, I will definitely want to participate in discussions to help others and myself.

@Fuz10n Your car is sick man. I'm actually in the dallas area as well, but havent made any mods to mine at all. I was actually thinking about trading mine in, but seeing yours really makes me rethink it. lol

Yea the newer lancers have more hidden power than the evo does. I think it can evolve into something quite awesome. Welcome to lt or rather welcome back fuzion. I remember seeing your user name on our big list of users a while back.

Thanks bro, it took me a while to get it to this point, and some $$$. I think I've spent over 3 grand. (also because I have gone through three exhausts, LOL) ... but yea, if you get a turbo for your GTS you would smoke a stock EVO X straight up. 2 wheel drive turbo will smoke a AWD turbo (when the numbers are right)... LOL for example if you get the RRM turbo your lancer would sit at around 270 HP wheels. The evo X runs around 220 something stock to the wheels. I am pretty sure but I may be wrong. AWD loses more horsepower and torque due to the spinning of 4 wheels.

Also, I was thinking about doing some meets in the FT. Worth/Dallas Area. Maybe we can meet halfway like in Arlington or Euless or somewhere in between and have a good time messing around and talking.

Thanks bro, was wondering where the username went. I came back looking for it and couldnt find it so I just created a new one. It was a while back, maybe late 2009, hehe. I have been really busy but now I got a job where I can sit at a PC and chill for a bit. Selling cars at Five Star Ford.

Thanks man, you can check out my progress report at http://lancertuners.com/showthread.php?t=9003&page=1
and also check my album with my pictures. Liking the SI bro, I smoked one last night, LOL He must have been 1. completely stock 2. a horrible driver or c. both. heh:D 197hp/139tq vs 168hp/167tq? I wonder why the car is designed like that? 197 horses but only 139 tourque? I havn't dyno'd my car since I installed my headers, or full exhaust but I was sitting at 169HP to the wheels when I had my intake and a flowmaster outlaw exhaust. Need to go see my numbers when I am done tuning the car.

No I do not have a turbo, I will be getting one later on but yea, turbo cars that are fwd can spank stock evo's and sti's. Like a GTS, or SI with a turbo would be sitting around 270-300+ horses to the wheels, compared to the 230 something an EVO actually puts to the ground....

All my mods help me 1. launch faster 2. go faster and 3. run cooler
The headers, intake, and exhaust all give me more power and tourque. Then the engine mounts make my engine stiffer and allow me to put down more power to the ground and eliminate wheel hop. Also, the crank pulley makes a difference too.The hood allows my intake to breath in fresh cold air, and my lowering springs get me closer to the ground. The timing control box which I have yet to install (but had it installed before) gave me more power too, just that the damn pin is missing so it keeps coming off.

Yea, I am working on getting the WORKS flash for my car, which people say makes a difference too. I won't stop until I'm pushing at least 300hp+ OR BLOW AN ENGINE, LOL

You lauch better because of the torque vs hp.

and the engine mounts help too, trust me. Before I would peel out sometimes, now it grips a lot better.

That's why Civic's piss me off! People supe them up like crazy and us lancers get people who don't want to push the engine. It's been freaking three years almost and mitsubishi doesn't even care to release performance parts, or even care to show how to push the engine to it's limit. It's a freaking 2.4l, if they wanted to they could create a turbo for it that would make it smoke the BEGGESUS out of a Evo, but they don't care. Meanwhile TC's, SI's, and and other 4 cyl's get turbo'd with strokes, camshafts, etc. Makes me mad!

yeah civics have multiple companys making diffrent turbo kits and superchargers and stuff but civics have been that way for years.
i cant wait to start dusting evos when mine is boosted.
hey man i would love to see a nice boosted gts my buddy just got the 2.4 as well. but yet there are tons of cars that push 2.4l that are limited.
imo its dumb i really like the lancers hence why im on the site also the fact that i think the lancer turboed and civic turboed are good matches for the track and on the road
